The NAMI Maryland Annual Meeting will be held on June 15th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Carl J. Arthur Community Center.

You are invited to our in-person Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at 1:00 pm EST at the Carl J. Arthur Community Center!  The NAMI Maryland Annual Meeting will feature a welcome from NAMI Leadership, light refreshments, and a meet-and-greet with NAMI Maryland Board and Staff.

NAMI Maryland will also hold our in-person vote for our new Board of Directors, present our Annual Report for FY2024 to the public, and discuss work  for the upcoming year.

Call for Nominations

The Board Development and Nominating Committee (BDNC) is also currently conducting a search for candidates to be considered for the slate of several Board of Director positions that will be voted upon at the meeting.  Per NAMI Maryland's bylaws, candidates may be nominated by an individual member or a NAMI affiliate.

To be considered, candidates must:

• Be a member of NAMI Maryland by the election date of the Annual Meeting on June 15th, 2024. Please CLICK HERE to renew or become a member.
  
• Provide a resume, short bio, and statement indicating their consent to serve on the Board.
• Be able to carry out the duties of a Board member as described in the Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations.
• Be willing to serve a three-year term of office.
• Agree to serve on a committee during their term.
• Possess knowledge, skills, or abilities that will advance the mission of NAMI Maryland.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 26th, 2024.  Please submit the name of any nominee, a copy of their resume (including contact information), and a statement of consent of their willingness to serve to Nikia Lemaire at nlemaire@namimd.org

Voting will take place on June 15th, 2024 ONLY.  You MUST attend the Annual Meeting if you want to vote.

Should you wish to mail in your ballot, it must be received by Friday, June 14th, 2024 at 5:00 pm in order for your vote to be counted.  You can also email the ballot to info@namimd.org or mail it to our office at 10632 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 454, Columbia, MD 21044.

Voting is the crucial way you make your voice heard in our organization.  Taking the time to vote helps your Board of Directors ensure that NAMI Maryland's annual meeting represents as many members' views as we can.  In order to vote (see below for voting options), you must be a NAMI member and your membership must be active through June 2024.
